The Fall 2015 campaign marks the third campaign that the Department of Defense will utilize a special CFC module in the myPay system.  This module allows military and civilian personnel in the Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal customers of the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) to establish a CFC allotment within the “open season.”   Open season is expected to commence on 8 SEP with the final database. 

The system will be available only in regions already approved for e-Giving by the Office of the CFC or campaigns which have merged into those regions.  For example, the Fort Campbell CFC will have access for the first time thanks to its merger with neighboring campaigns that already were users of the myPay system.  Military personnel and civilians of that campaign are now a part of the Indiana, Kentucky and Western Ohio CFC.

In 2014, more than 66,680 employees at DFAS client organizations pledged to their favorite charities via the CFC module in myPay.  Those pledges totalled more than $37 million and represented about one out of every five dollars contributed to charites through CFC.  Over two years in operation, teh module is estimated to have saved more than $1.5 million over the costs which would be incurred to collect, audit and process pledge transactions made on a paper form.

The average gift in the myPay system is $556, significantly higher than the national average of $340. 


The final date an employee served by the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) can make an electronic pledge to the 2015 CFC using the myPay website is December 15, 2015.  This service is open to personnel in 79 approved CFC regional campaigns who work for the Department of Defense and other DFAS client organizations (Executive Office of the President, Health and Human Services, Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, Veterans Affairs and the Broadcasting Board of Governors).
